Frédéric Dessy (IBA)

Frederic Dessy, medical physicist, after 14 years in radiation therapy and radiology, he moved to IBA, working for proton therapy, participating in the development of the pencil beam scanning technique, integration of Treatment Planning System and Oncology Information System. Leading, as industrial cochair, the DICOM RTion group ensuring good communication between the different actor of proton therapy. He then worked as clinical solution manager on the new imaging suite that IBA integrated on the different proton therapy system, imaging the patient in 2-, 3- and 4-dimension ensuring that the patient is well positioned before delivering the proton beam. A bit more than 3 years ago, he joined IBA industrial and now work as product manager for the X-Ray solution they deliver to their customer, work on the optimization of the system delivery and integration of 3^rd party (conveyors, dose computation engine, dosimetry, …).
